Transferring an inpatient to a ward

You can transfer a patient to a ward on a mobile or desktop. Nervecentre records the time that a patient is transferred. If the patient was transferred earlier, you can set the time and date manually from Patient admin.

Transferring a patient to a ward on a mobile

You can transfer any inpatient to a ward on your mobile. Nervecentre records the time that a patient is transferred.

  1. From your patient list, select the patient you want to transfer.

  2. From the top of the screen, select the patient's demographics.

  3. From Transfer Options?, select Transfer Ward.

  4. Select a ward.

Transferring a patient to a ward on a desktop

You can transfer any inpatient to a ward from the patient banner. Nervecentre records the time that a patient is transferred.

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Ward / Bed > Transfer Ward.

  2. Select a ward.

You can transfer any inpatient to a ward from Patient admin. Nervecentre records the time that a patient is transferred. If the patient was transferred earlier, you can set the time and date manually.

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Patient admin > Transfer.

  2. Select a ward.

  3. If the patient was transferred earlier, set the transfer date and time.

You can transfer a patient to an off-ward location, for example, a theatre suite, or recovery room. This allows you to keep the patient's bed on a ward while the patient is at the off-ward location.

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Ward / Bed > Set Off-Ward Location.

  2. Select the type of off-ward location.

    For example, recovery, or theatre suite.

  3. Select the off-ward location.

You can return a patient from an off-ward location back to their ward. For example, from a recovery room back to their ward.

  • From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Ward / Bed > Set Off-Ward Location > Return to ward.
